The NGO Committee on Ageing NY is a substantive NGO Committee of the Conference of Non-Governmental Organizations (CoNGO) and works to raise global awareness of the opportunities and challenges of ageing issues around the world.
The Committee works with Permanent Missions to the United Nations, non-governmental committees, and civil society organizations in New York and globally.
We collaborate with the NGO Committees on Ageing in Geneva and Vienna and have a close relationship with the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (DESA), Programme on Ageing.
The Committee is also a member on the Steering Group of the Global Alliance for the Rights of Older People (GAROP) and the Stakeholder Group on Ageing.
The NGO Committee on Ageing NY raises awareness of global ageing’s challenges and opportunities, advocates UN policy integration, and champions rights for older adults.
